Quoting from Survivor Tocantins: Recap for April 2 Written by honeyS

This week on Survivor tribes realize that the game is likely to be more intense as the numbers dwindle.  Sydney realizes that as the tribe winnows down, the men are more likely to stick together and let her go.  The men feel that she is attractive and want to hang onto their eye candy.

On Timbira there is a conflict over the beans because Coach likes them soft, while the others like them a bit firmer.  A storm is rolling in and the additional time will mean that the beans won’t be ready. Coach makes light of it, but most of the beans are burnt to the pot. Coach doesn’t stick around in the rain to tend them which makes the rest of the group irritated. The tribe feels that he is selfish in some of his moves, and speak out about it. Coach takes responsibility for the misstep and laughs it off.

On Jalapao, Taj tells Stephen that she wants to tell JT that she has the idol. Stephen wants to control the information between her and JT so that he stays in the mix. Taj explains that she only wants to tell him about the idol, not about her alliance with Brendan.

The reward challenge is for a relaxing picnic by a waterfall with a complete barbeque, complete with fixings. The challenge is to build a barricade in the opposing tribes sty. They have five minutes to complete a brricade that is as inpenitratable as possible. The tribes then have ten minutes to get as many ceramic pigs through the barricade as possible. The pigs must be tossed past whatever barricade the opposing tribe has constructed. Timbira has gotten five pigs to Jalapao’s three, and Timbira maintains their lead at 8-6. Timbira begins to fall apart and the tribes are tied at 8-8.  Timbira takes the lead and then loses it to Jalapao who is now 12-9. Timbira brings it back to 12-12 at the one minute point. Timbira takes the lead again and it ties again at the 30 sec point. With time running out it is 13-13.  At the finish, Timbira wins reward with 14 pigs in the sty. They send Joe from Jalapao and he chooses Erin from Timbira. This means she will miss the barbeque, the waterfall, and the rest of the picnic. Joe feels that his pick is a strategic move because he is looking for someone who might flip at the merge.
