While Coach seems to find it hard to distinguish truth from fiction, one thing that was true: he was a coach.
At some point, most parents stand by while someone else coaches their children. We don’t always get to choose those coaches which for the most part, works out fine., But there are times when the kids (or the parents) have a problem with the coach:, If they are young you can step in but what about once they are older? I couldn’t help wonder about that as I watched Benjamin “Coach”” Wade on Survivor this season. Watching his arrogance and his joy in manipulating others I wondered just how the parents of the girls he coached were feeling. Had they let this man have any influence on their children and was he really that self absorbed in real life? Sadly, the answer is yes. While Coach seems to find it hard to distinguish truth from fiction, one thing that was true: he was a coach. In fact he was the head coach of Southwest Baptist University’s women’s soccer team .I say was because his contract was not renewed because he just took off to be on Survivor without getting permission and/or a replacement.

“It’s a dark and stormy night. The furious wind hurled broken tree branches against the barred windows of the asylum nicknamed ‘The Cuckoos Nest’.” Inside, the mental patients screamed and hurled their tin cups as the new patient named “Coach,” told them how he slew dragons, fought crocodiles, outplayed, outwitted and single handedly defeated an army of vicious criminals, for which he was awarded $2,000,000.00 and given the title, “Ultimate Survivor and Son of the Gods.” Coach stated that he donated the money to a blood brother who is a tribal chief in the Sahara desert. The tribal chief, whose African name is “Assistant Coach” desperately needed the money to build sandboxes for the children of his tribe and the price of sand was sky-rocketing. He also sent pictures of Little Coach, Tiny Coach, and Teeny Weeny Coach, which melted Coach’s valiant heart. And that’s why Coach is now Head Coach of the Cuckoo Clan. The end.
